FROM OUR CUSTOMERS

  • The cafe was beautiful and as warm and inviting as the service.

We did not stay here but dropped in for coffee and a bite to eat on our way through to Wanaka from a weekend in Cantebury. It is very hard to find places to stop that do good coffee and don't sell packaged or stoggy, meaty/fried food outside of the major cities so we were stoked when we found this stop. The cafe was beautiful and as warm and inviting as the service. The coffee was exceptional and the food we had was light, fresh and delicious. I'm dairy-free and I was delighted there was a broad range of option to choose from for people with dietary requirements. Waitaki Braids really knows what they are doing, a great treat! Would love to stay here too at some point the rooms look gorgeous! We are now planning on making this one a regular stop 🙂

  • WONDERFUL KIWI HOSPITALITY.

Beautiful decor, coffee and pastries and also such kind and helpful staff. Left my purse behind on a drive to Akaroa and the manager Kate arranged for it to be sent to a safe place in Christchurch for me to collect it.

  • THE CHEF IS A GENIUS.

I can not remember the last time I ate 3 courses and loved them equally. Maybe the single most satisfying meal I have ever eaten. My room is simple, comfortable, and elegantly finished, and Ollie the in-house puppy is a welcome and adorable addition to my stay. Highly recommended.

  • EVERY DETAIL FITS.

What a wonderful beautiful place, we just dropped by but had a chance to have a look around. Every detail fits, every bit is chosen with passion. The owners were warm, inviting and very sweet exited for the upcoming wedding today. Great place to stay with or without a celebration on your schedule.
